Tasting America

You don't have to travel outside our own boundaries to experience richly diverse cuisines. An oft-overlooked fact is the cultural distinctions within our own shores. Our culinary tours are designed to acquaint you with the BEST that our various regions have to offer - culinarily speaking. Whether you're tasting wild salmon in the Northwest or beignets in New Orleans you'll be amazed at our variety. Our wine country (Napa) rivals or surpasses much that Europe has to offer, with an unsurpassed climate.

Join one of our small (6-12) culinary journeys or create a custom group of your own and learn more about our great cuisines.

Following are brief descriptions of various tours. On a rotating basis we offer one or two in a calendar year beginning in June 1998 with the Best of the Northwest. If you are interested in a tour to a specific area, send the request form on the back of this brochure indicating which tour.

Then it's off to the islands! We'll visit little known Salt Spring with it's vibrant art community, great inns and restaurants, in a setting of unbelievable physical beauty. We'll visit their open air market where local artists sell their products - a remarkable experience. We'll eat at a famous country inn, go on an artist tour (you won't believe the abundance in  this community), and with luck see an old style village festival.

Next we're off to Vancouver Island to visit the very, very British city of Victoria. We'll have tea at the Empress, view the world famous Butchart Gardens, and finish off with a meal at a 5 star restaurant specializing in local products.
